Email is wonderful, unless you can't get to it. People who use email
regularly want, and need, access to their email accounts wherevere
their travel and time away from home takes them. Outlook Express and
other Email programs are meant to work on a users home computer - they
are not transportable from one computer to another, one network to
another.
So what's a busy, traveling person, to do?
Cedar-Rapids.net offers a webmail service (service where you can check
your email directly from the web instead of an email program like
Outlook Express) where you can view your emails while away from your
usual computer or on travel.
Your webmail can be reached through a web browser at http://mail.cedar-rapids.net.
You login by using your full email address, and your password, just
like your email program. New emails, and emails left on the server
previously, will be available here. Here you can compose and read new
mail, and also change your password and your display name. You can send
and add attachments, most anything you can do normally from home. And
then when you open your email at home again, your email program will
download anything still sitting on the server, recorded there by the
webmail program.
So don't worry about losing
touch, unless you're in remote areas where computers, bandwidth and
related modern tools are lacking. We make sure your use of modern tools
travels with you, easily and effectively.
(Note:
Most email programs delete messages from the server once they've been
downloaded. Please don't be surprised that all messages are not there). |
