The world is quickly moving to wireless information. From cell phones, to Blackberrys, to wireless internet, the day is fast approaching when many of us will be independent information process centers - i.e., whatever we want to know, wherever we want to know it, whenever we want to know it, whenever we need to know it, such desired information will be available. And quickly it will include voice, video, and internet/data.
For smaller communities, rural areas, and even many larger communities, wireless is the future because the main option - fiber - is so expensive, both in town, and in the countryside. Fiber is great because of its large capacity for moving data/information, but it is expensive, and requires substantially more time to deploy than wireless.
Here at Com-Link, we recognize that the future is hard upon many communities, and many individuals are clamoring for the tools that help them be more competitive, more on the cutting edge of business and social life. The years needed to raise the money, build the fiber infrastructure and learn to manage and operate such installations is more than people want to endure.
As a Midwest internet service provider, our concern is with meeting community needs as they arise in the best options available. We have the capacity to deliver fiber, and we have the capacity to deliver wireless. Our object is to provide the best solution communities see as fitting their community vision.
Currently, we are deployed in Muscatine, Burlington, Urbandale, and soon in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. We are negotiating with a number of communities in Iowa to help deliver community-wide solutions. If your area is still without good, dependable broadband access to the Information Highway, give us a call, and we'll be glad to sit down with you and determine what is possible.
